As hunters arrived they would go through gun safety, marksmanship and shoot to show the guide they were proficient. Friday morning hunters, guides and parents went to the blinds. By 9:18, 50% of our hunters had filled their tag. The 5 deer were quartered to put in coolers until later in the weekend. We changed a few blind assignments for the evening to try and maximize potential and it wasn't long before the number of filled tags increased to 9! Our tenth hunter had drew a little blood but after good effort by a tracking dog it was determined the deer wasn't lethally wounded. Once again the harvested deer were quartered and put in coolers. Saturday started bright and early as we had 1 hunter that still was hunting deer and a few others were hunting pigs. Only 1 shot fired and our young hunter didn't connect after reviewing video footage. Hunters and their guides started boning out meat while others were helping with the vacuum packaging and labeling. Saturday evening saw our last hunter went to the blind while a few of us went to pick up blinds and chairs that weren't being used. The others finished up processing, grinding, packaging and clean up just a little before dark. Our hunter wasn't presented with a shot opportunity on Saturday night. We had a wonderful meal of venison tacos and we had story time around the campfire that night. Clean up and packing began early this morning and we headed home about 10:30. </p><p></p><p>My camera on my phone quit me on Friday morning and I was able to get it working Saturday evening.
