Outside shooting land by river

Sorry if I am posting in the wrong forum for this BUT WHERE does one go to shoot outside that is close to OKC AND legal? I hear, oh go down by the river... off of hwy to Lawton/Chicash.. or river by 23rd in Spenser.... BUT never get exact directions or if even legal. I do not like punching paper and would love to find a legal spot close to city by river and shoot away!!! Help please???

You shouldn't shoot into water

Check in the CLub/Range section. There are several outdoor ranges and clubs in the OKC area depending on where you are located.

Get a hunting license and go shoot at the range at Lexington WMA.

Correct in looking for free land to shoot, and also won't shoot into water unless something floating down it. :-) BUT I have heard, go out 23rd and by Spenser, it is public land and people shoot out there all the time.... Don't know if legal or exact directions. Just HOPING someone would say, OH GREAT place by ? and ? . :-) Come on now a guy can have dreams..... I grew up where my uncles all had farms an hour away, and I just like to walk and shoot = hedge apples, cans... etc.... Thanks and I know someone has a place by the river, which I use as an example because of the backdrop of other bank. Don't have to worry about a ranchers cow a mile away! ;-)
