Really not digging the plate pay. Used to wait around until balance hit $0 then pay. Then I found out they revert to standard rates and separate billing at a much higher rate. They want you to have a tag on your car, tracking sticker on a windshield and a balance with them. Also the new system is low hanging fruit for phone scammers. Recently bought a new vehicle and had them mail a sticker. When I sold the old vehicle the sticker came off pretty easily with pealing from the corner. A little Windex and no residue. On the new vehicle I placed the sticker on the inside of the windshield In the first part of May, then discovered it was in the way of a dash cam I bought so needed to relocate it (This was last Thursday.) It did not peal off cleanly at all, and left a sticky millimeter or two thick layer of very sticky residue that took me 20 minutes to remove with 100% Isopropyl Alcohol (should have used Everclear, at least that's potable.) I got the Dash Cam installed, then drove up to the PikePass office at Memorial and Meridian for a new toll sticker. Guess what, still is open on their web site, closed at the Physical location. Had to drive the long way to avoid tolls on the Kilpatrick to go to their much smaller office at 122nd and the I-35 service drive. There are many fewer employees there. Point is, PikePass thinks they own you. They have less employees reducing their costs, and their business model is very inconvenient. Even the phone service helpline has Doctor's office hours. No Toll stations anymore, just snap a digital picture of your tag and sent you a ticket. I bet they are selling all the data on our travels to.
