2016 P46 Ancillary Skills Conference

Join us October 7th, 8th, & 9th for three days of training in Pawnee, Oklahoma. The Inaugural P46 Ancillary Skills Conference was created to provide a foundation skillset to compliment the common martial skills (firearms, edged weapons, and combatives) for which training can readily be found within or just a short drive from most urban centers. We've compiled a curriculum of ancillary skills which provide the student with knowledge to work while living and traveling afield, regardless of the activity in which he's engaged. The skills presented will also equip us to be of additional value in our communities. From tracking, communications, land nav, and trauma care, you have the potential to become a trained, viable component in your community's response to natural or man-made emergencies.

Our topics include:
- Land Navigation *
- Horsemanship
- Tracking
- Trauma Care
- Field Communications
- Fieldcraft *

* The Land Nav and Fieldcraft lanes each have a night element. There will be a night land nav course to test each student's skills and to provide each student a baseline familiarization with navigating by map & compass while observing strict noise & light discipline. The Fieldcraft lane incorporates field familiarization with various Night Optic Devices (NODs), such as various generations of night vision and thermal optics.

A link to the full course description and other details can be found below. Click the instructor link at the bottom of that page to read the first four Instructor bios we've posted. You can also download the registration form and packing list from that page.

We look forward to seeing you.

Looking forward to it man! Great combination of skills for this course... all things I (and I suspect most others on this site) are pretty deficient in. I know Michael, the organizer, and he will run a great event.

We have opened our web store and added the Skills Conference for secure, online purchasing. Simply fill in the requested info on the product page, add the Conference to your cart, and check out. Then download and fill out the registration form and drop it in the mail. Your seat is secured as soon as you pay, but the reg' form is still required for the eligibility certification. We have also extended registration through September 23rd. All payments and documents MUST be received by that date.

Our tracking lane will be taught by Oklahoma's own Mike Vaught. Mike has a career spanning nearly two decades, including time working, training or training with 1st SFG, USMC EOD elements, the Border Patrol, National Parks Service, TF North and others. He has been involved in numerous Oklahoma manhunts and was recently recommended in an April, 2016 RECOIL article.

If you are even a little interested in the topics we're presenting and don't know what side-rail, intentional offset, propagation, spoor, jute, palpate, RG59, distal, trace, or coronet band mean then you don't know what you don't know, and you probably need this in your life.
