I will try to get weights, the pistol mags I have been contemplating, I ran two pistol mags the first two, Pawnee Run guns & in probably 10,000 rds through my glock running Dawson+5 base pads I have never had a problem with bullets getting stuck in magazine. I fired the pistol on top of pond dam I had mag malfunction (bullets stuck in bottom f'n dirt from the course), dropped mag, reloaded with partial mag then I decended down the hill & I am thinking, how many bullets are in this mag, I made sure not to miss and ended stage with slide locked back after last shot. I now consider what if RO accidentally does not get a time, doesn't hit start, timer malfuntioned, dropped timer, cow or competitor magically shows up in impact zone, causing a ceise fire or lost mag. I think I am carrying three pistol mags or 2 and a half, topping off a pistol mag with loose rds is an option but I worry about adding dirt with bullets. I must be getting old and superstitious. For the record I am a minimalist as far as ammo and gear, I took 58 rifle rds (5.56) first Thunderbird match and almost ran out. From RO'ing and attending the courses I have seen people run out of ammo. Matt I remember looking at how much ammo you had and thought wow 120 308 rds, that's heavy. Last January, I shoot 6.5 Creedmore, I started to only take 47 rds went back and grapped 11 more for a total of 58 rifle, that was a last minute change after hearing about people running out of ammo. My "cocky" but honest thoughts were I did not plan on missing. I shot rifle clean except last stage on mound. On the mound Derick the guy that took second talked me into shooting off hand. I had a hold my beer and watch this vision, and that is were I screwed up I went through 17-19 rds and almost timed out. I knew to drop down and build a solid shooting position, but well testosterone & peer pressure got me. I will try to get a run weight, I wanted to post about why I feel it is important to bring plenty of ammo. Just my thoughts, Corey
