[QUOTE="dennishoddy, post: 960283, member: 5412"] Barbados. If you'll notice the beach sunset pic, the clouds there were advance clouds of Hurrican Ivan that hit the next evening, killing 2 on Barbados, and causing tremedous damage to Barbados, and Grenada. 40 or 50 were killed in Grenada. We were locked down in our 2nd floor room. We spent the night in the bathroom with mattress's over and under our bodies. Waves crashed our patio door that faced the ocean, shattering it, causing flooding in the room about 2' deep, coming into the bathroom under the door. It was a long scary night. We were 3 days overdue getting out of there, with the airport being torn up, and lots of looting going on in town. We had to stay at the resort, with armed guards looking out for us. Thank God the liquor supply didn't get hurt!:D These are pics from the next day when the storm passed. One of the deepest ocean trenches in the world is just offshore from our beach, and there were some critters that I've never seen before with huge teeth washed up dead on the beach. My camera had been rendered inoperable by sea salt spray so I didn't get a picture of them.
