Dad used to tell people "much obliged". Never hear that anymore.

Meaning to say "I am indebted to you". I would say it is polite, but no more so than a prim "Thank you".

It is hotter than 2 rats ............bumping ugly's............ in a wool sock. (cleaned up version!! come on we were construction dudes:cool:)

Had a teacher that would work with us during the summer months framing houses, throw that one out.
