We were asked when my son was about 7 & he answered truthfully, HE SAID "I have my own, bear cat, 20 ga, 22hornet & 30-30 handi rifle" Dr said cool & that was that He also did an essay in 7th grade about the 1 posession you would keep. His answer "M1 Garand", Teacher in front of the class tried to make owning a gun a bad thing as he put it. His answer "So I can protect & feed my family" This set off a big debate in class, most of his friends have shot with us & piled it on. We got a call from the teacher & She tried to put all this in a negative light until I said Hold on He did the right thing conversation over. Got to love the way an 11 year old boy thinks. Just that summer we took a trip to the CMP & pick the M1 up so it was fresh in his mind & his favorite gun at the time, probablly still is wants to shoot it every time we go out
