I had a .38 Derringer once. It threw a pretty good fireball, but the recoil wasn't that bad. The velocity was so slow that when I shot my burn barrels it only dented them. I would think this one might be about the same. All the powder gets burned outside the barrel.

Yes says it's a very reduced velocity, barrel looks to be around 2.5 inches, but in that short of a time it propels the round to around 1200FPS so would have around the same impact as a 9mm. But this is more of a giggle gun IMHO, it's kinda like having a bump fire stock on an AR. Fun to have but probably not something you would use on a daily basis but I can say that even being a single shot the bad guys would probably only need to see it fire once to run with their junk tucked between their cheeks and hide.
