[QUOTE="nofearfactor, post: 2149090, member: 1535"] I dont feel any type of connection with my tarantulas or scorpion, theyre just really cool to own take care of and observe. My reptiles I feel something for them and I feel I get something in return from them, not as much as my love for my dog who I am totally in love with or the love I get back from my dog, but I definitely feel more of a connection with the herps than the arachnids. After watching all these damn alligator shows on TV I want an alligator but I also know that it would be next to impossible to do plus I would lose my family too probably. The kids help me with my critters but the wife wants nothing to do with any them. Ive even got my own room for mine. She gave me the entire 2 car size garage when we got in our current house and I rocked it in and converted it to several rooms- a shop for my business, a small room for music rehearsal and recording, and another little room I built especially for the critters with humidity and temp control, etc. Its not big enough for a alligator though... or a shark... or a buffalo/bison... One of my babies that stays up at my place in northern California.
