My first dog of the year. Neck shot 17hmr at 50 yards he came in to the red fox distress call.

Me too. I just bought a Ruger M77 in a 17HMR and just mounted the scope on it today. We are headed to the range this afternoon to have a little fun.

I shot 3 coyotes two years ago with the 17gr bullets, 2 neck and 1 behind shoulder, none exited all shots were between 50 and 75 yards. Quick kills.

This was my first with the 17hmr. The yote went straight to sleep, I didn't notice a exit hole and just a tiny spot going in.
Im also unsure of the round.

Another .17hmr dog from this year. I normally call with a 12 gauge or my 22-250, this one was actually shot by my son from my dinning room table out the back door (under supervision in a controlled setting). 130 yards broadside lung shot, no exit and died quick.
