Thanks, Okhunter, I didn't weigh it, its in the freezer, I might give it a try. Its not nearly the size of the one I saw urinating on everything on Thanksgiving. I would bet it was a male. This one was a female.

I checked our tractor supply. They didn't have any traps with the bait cages in the back. Stillwater mill had some the last time I was down there.

After going after deer really hard this year, I finally got my first dog of the season. PhilipxHuff and I hit some new land this morning and didn't have any luck other than calling one in and it went blowing past us before either of us could get a shot off.

We decided to go try one of our best places and like always gets us some fur on the ground.

On our second stand there, we called this female out of a treeline about 200-250 yards away. She slowly worked her way in and started slowing up, so I took the shot and she was DRT.

158 yard shot with .223 vmax

Checked traps today, had a possum in one, (baited with cat food), had a trap that had been tore up, like something wanted out bad and door had been bent to heck and nothing in it. Had another trap tripped, and something had scratched all around it, and swatted trap around some, but they had been staked down with a rebar fence post.

bassin- would imagine your torn up trap was a racoon, they are both escape and demolition artists. Moving all of my traps to the river tomorrow. Built some traps this week for the first time, will post some pics. They were easy to make and cost me about $45 a piece to make.

I took last weekend off but made 3 stands this morning. Got this female on the second stand. My 3rd stand I had something come in behind me but only heard it.
