In the end, since you will be shipping a crate of firearms that may weigh upwards of 3-400 lbs anyway you ship it may have to go through CA to get to your final destination of AZ so keep that in mind. </p><p></p><p>On the actual packing of the rifles. I would not get a local FFL in HI involved if not legally required to do so. Maybe ask them so very generic questions but that's it. Depending on exactly how many rifles and thier sizes I would buy one of the large Jobox steel containers contractor use to store tools in in their bed of their trucks or on jobsites. They are sturdy. nearly theft proof and would keep your guns safe. I'd order off Amazon, whatever number of soft sided rifle cases you needed and have them shipped to the address in HI. Once in HI I'd go to walmart and get a either a big roll of bubble wrap or 10 or so cheap throw type blankets for added padding. Stick all the rifles in the soft cases, put them in the Jobox and layer the cases in the container with layers of blankets or bubble wrap. Because I'm anal, I'd probably go and get a 20# back of white rice and fill up 5-6 white athletic socks to help absorb any moisture in the container during shipping and storage. Would it help?
