We all know pistol powder has been really hard to find for quite awhile.

I don't know if there is any left but last week H & H had Winchester W231 in stock......one pound per day limit, I picked up two pounds at $23.00 per pound.

I also got ahold of three pounds of HP-38 thanks to a buddy calling me from a McAlester shop two weeks ago.....$22.00 per pound.

With the little I had on hand and the five pounds I picked up I'm pretty well set for awhile on pistol powder.

Since I started reloading I have seen this powder go up and up in price. Bullets and primers also.. so I want to be like my buddy and keep a nice stock of supplies and get stuff when available and when you can afford it.
It is only going to get more expensive.

Yep. I'm the same way. I could qualify as a hoarder since I buy in quantity and keep a good stock of components. But, I'm really just hedging against inflation and supply disruption.

I scored some H110 yesterday. I couldn't believe it.

I guess I'd love to think things will return to their hayday, but I just can't believe it right now. It's been disrupted for so long that it's starting to feel like the new norm. I could be wrong though. I'd love to buy pounds and pounds of my favorite powder and tens of thousands of my favorite primers, but I have a hard time justifying spending that much, and I'd feel a little bad. I haven't been reloading that long, and I know how I'd feel if I just wanted a measly pound or so of powder, but couldn't get it because someone else came in and bought the whole lot, probably just to store. It's taken months and months just to track down Varget, Longshot, and H110 for various stuff, and I don't have more that 2lb of any of those.

This is where I'm at too. I want to buy 8lb jugs by the truckload, and bullets by the 10k, but I can't afford it. And when I do find .22 ammo or a couple pounds of powder in stock, I feel like a jerk if I buy it all.
