I've given up trying to make sense of the deer and deer activity that I've seen this year............so I'll just tell you what I saw this evening. Until the last 3 or 4 days, I've seen really very little in comparison to most years. Tuesday morning, and yesterday evening, lot's of deer seen, does grouped up, bucks grouped up and showing no signs of interest in each other. This evening, my wife and I watched two buck hook it up pretty good, saw a doe get bred by a half racked 8pt, saw a almost shooter chasing 4 does aggressively until he finally separated one from the group. We watched two nice 8pt feed side by side with each other for almost an hour, and had a group of over 20 does watching it all..............so your guess is as good as mine as to where we're at in the rut up here. I'm just thankful to be seeing numbers of deer close to normal.

have not seen much at all last few days, caught a glimpse of some does the other morning as they were cruising through the tall grass, and had a spike walk through this morning sniffing the air and walking. that's all I have seen since last Sunday. been hunting everyday. Its rough I am getting frustrated that I have a lot of seat time in different locations approx. 6 spots and never see any? where the hell are they and my cams get some pics but everything is 2am timeframe?

We are getting similar results to reports above. We spent every day in stands and blinds in both of our locations, both mornings and evenings as well as daytime. We tried every trick we had, even the feeders stopped getting visits regularly. It's a weird season for us too.

Keep the faith. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. Thats what we keep telling ourselves. We were tagged out this time last year. This year, we have a single animal despite hunting archery, muzzle loader and currently gun. Sucks. I've never wasted more than one tag in a season. Looks like this may be it.

We decided to shake things up a little today and discovered they are bedding in a previously unkown bed-down location this year, using cedars we cut over the summer as cover, so we're going to change our strategy, use the rubs we found today to set up for an intercept.

NW, it sucks. I've been in daylight to dark stands since the gun opener with two exceptions during the day. I'm a haven for button bucks, doe fawns, and immature bucks.

I haven't failed to take a full season tag since 1982, This year is going to go on the books. I could have killed something every day, but what I'm seeing, won't be taken.

Very similiar just east of the casinos north of Newkirk. Except for the buck chasing a doe on Tuesday afternoon I took a shot at, we haven't seen anything. Not many shots either so its not just on the 160 I'm hunting.

Saw a really nice buck following two matures does on the way home this evening just south of my house. The two does were watching me, the buck never stopped watching them, clueless to my presence of 100y away in a rattling diesel.
