I’ve shot hogs with a 7.62 ar, a 6.5 grendel ar, and a 6mm arc ar platform with that thermal. All of them do a good job, the 7.62 probably gets the job done a little better than the rest, but it isn’t as accurate. It’s “minute-of-pig” though, and that makes it good enough.  My oldest son and his buddy have done some night calling and had good luck. I guess it’s time that I learn that method as well.
