Man, roasted slowly over an open fire, beans and hominy as sides.

Do you have a preference; Italian, Chinese, Russian, German, Japanese, Indian, ............ ?

Hominy is what grits are made of right? Love me some grits. Make em a bit thick, and refrigerate overnight in a baking pan. Next morning cut into squares (about brownie sized) and pan fry in butter and bacon grease, and bam! Fried grits. Serve hot with a bit of salt and pepper and a drizzle of maple syrup. Bacon grease and maple syrup can probably make anything taste awesome.

Hominy tastes awful even if ya put bacon or syrup or ketchup on it. I'd rather eat poo.

But ur right about grits...i like grits.

Hominy's okay ... real butter and salt and pepper ... not my favorite but better than an MRE ...
