Yeah, that is a real good deal. Those Remington's seem to be fine basic 1911 pistols from the couple I've see and shot.

I have owned/fired the Rem 1911 R1 and it was a very good basic 1911. Truthfully, its a bit more than basic if by that one means Mil STD 1911.
I truly regret trading it away.
The ATI has some decidedly mixed reviews and for $80 difference I would most definitely go for the Remington.

Mugsy is correct. The Remington is not Mil Std ; it has a few enhancements like a beavertail, but it's pretty much just a plain Jane factory production 1911 I guess. And I also agree on the ATI assessment he makes.

I have that model ATI and it is a great gun. Accurate and reliable. Only con I can see ... wait I can't see lol, the mil spec sites.
Worn out eyes, so I modded it with some white finger nail polish on the front site until I can get better sites for it.
