A little over two months ago, I decided I "needed" an AK to keep my AR company (also figured Obama would win and try to "do something" about guns he didn't have the political capital to do during his first term). Maybe I should go into fortune telling... Didn't do anything about it, because I was trying to learn about them. Saw some at the big show for what I thought was too much, so I kept my wallet in my pocket. I looked around this week, but AKs are as hard to find as ARs. The only ones I saw were at Dong's. WASR 10 = $1150. Another stamped receiver model was $1999. In November, I could have had a very nice Bulgarian milled receiver model with gorgeous wood furniture for $1500. I didn't get it because I thought that was just too damn much for what is supposed to be a "cheap" rifle. May have to put the AK idea on hold for a while; I just can't see putting AR $$$ into an AK. Maybe my expectations are off?
