Nothing says 'stop!' like a 12 gauge shotgun. But still have a G17 with 20 round mag and on board light on the nightstand.

I keep either a 12 gauge or AR by the bed at all times. Either platform has a light. I also always have my 340pd loaded with 357 mag on my ankle till I climb in bed. Then it comes off and lays on the bedside table in the ankle holster. So if I'm in bed or in the bedroom the shotty or AR would be what I grab. If I'm in any other part of the house the revolver is what I grab. Always have a light on me till I am in bed too. So it really depends on where I'm at. Could only pick 1 option so AR is my HD by the bed 90% of the time

My wife doesn't like me keeping my 12 gauge out of its case, so I keep my Glock 23 and my 1873 Colt 45 revolver in my nightstand. The Glock in case I need to really use it, the Colt to scare the hell out of somebody....its really loud. :)
