Message: <blockquote data-quote="HMFIC" data-source="post: 2104859" data-attributes="member: 7539">Let's turn this question around...What happens if every single gun sale and purchase you are ever involved in is tracked and recorded and you have to pay a fee for transfer and you have to pay taxes on any profit you make and have to submit to a background check for every purchase and then prices of transfers go up because they have to build a new system to handle the traffic and pretty soon you have GUN Agencies just like TAG Agencies in every town where you have to go stand in line and deal with cranky old women who would rather not help you and you have to get a tax stamp for your guns you own every year and it's based on the value of the gun and then they start requiring you to show proof of violence liability insurance on each of your guns in order to own or transfer them and then they require you to carry a license to prove that you can even own a gun and you need to show proof of your registration and insurance every time you are carrying and a police officer asks you and then they show up at your house to check to see if you are in compliance and to take your guns if you fail to pay the yearly tax and on and on and on and on....</blockquote>
