Prvi Partisan Ammo Problem

I ordered some PPU .380ACP ammo a few weeks ago. Never fired any of it, never even touched the boxes after I put it away.

Today I grabbed a box to shoot thru my Bodyguard 2.0 and got a nasty surprise. I fired a round and heard what I thought was a possible squib load. Stopped, unloaded, checked the gun, etc. No barrel obstruction. I picked up the case and realized it was a .32ACP case. I unloaded the mag that was in the gun and found a total of 6 .32ACP cartridges in the mag and the box of .380 ammo. There were no more in the other 3 boxes I bought. I thought about emailing PPU but I can't read the lot numbers on any of the boxes because the printing is smeared or it's just too light to see.

I've never seen anything like this before in all my years of shooting. I've seen rounds without primers, rounds with upside down primers, split cases and all sorts of other issues. But I've never seen a mix of calibers in a single box. I'd be willing to bet this happened somewhere besides the factory where it was produced and packed.

Anyway...I'll be paying a little more attention to my ammo in the future.

The good news is I've confirmed .32 ammo can be fired thru a .380 gun.

Had something similar happen years ago with generic remington yellow box of 44 spl. One round was a 38 spl. Never chambered it.

I never even noticed when I loaded the magazine. I was cranking away with the Mag LULA and didn't catch it. I got two in the magazine.

Got a case of 9mm from federal, opened up the boxes and it was all 38 Super +P Hollow points! Made bank on that deal.
