Message: <blockquote data-quote="okiebryan" data-source="post: 2096802" data-attributes="member: 24457"><p>I don't believe that this is the case.  From what I understand, the UPIN does is to show that the FBI has looked at your file and confirmed that as of the date of the UPIN, you have nothing in your past that disqualifies you.  It in effect will cause future NICS checks to ignore everything from prior to the date of the issuance of the UPIN.  I was told this by a supervisor with NICS customer service when I specifically asked if the UPIN allows tracking of how many firearms one buys.</p></blockquote><p></p>
