[QUOTE="loudshirt, post: 1362827, member: 10585"] Gotta love child support. So much I want to say but it all runs together because I am too bitter about having to pay. My main issue is that it makes it almost impossible for the non custodial parent to get ahead or to live anywhere near the standard of living of the custodial parent. After a divorce child support is almost a punishment. If child support was not the way it is more people would try and work out the issues that lead to a 50% divorce rate. Or if you file for divorce because of irreconcilable differences, a.k.a I just don't love you anymore, you should not be allowed to have custody or child support for the first couple of years. Right now you can get rid of the one you are not in love with, and get tax free money all at once. Dont get me wrong in many many cases people need the money I understand that. It is hard to understand a system in which I can only afford to live in an 800sq ft house in North Tulsa and my wife and son live in a 1600sq ft condo in San Diego and still have plenty of money to travel, do what they want.
