R&P stamped Holster

Need help in identification, looks like Walther PP or Mauser HSC Holster. Thanks.

Any history as to where it came from? I can make out the 'R' on the left side and it looks like a letter that would be from the old American western days. Can't make out the letter on the right. Anything on the backside? Second look and the R could be a P with a small x.

Those are the only stamps that I can see from pictures. And they do not look like from a manufacturer. I should be receiving it in a few days , Cannot find anything on the net . Believe to be individuals initials that they stamped into the leather. Just thought I would pick a few brains and hopefully get some info. Thank you.
