I'm doing the same thing only using plastic 55 gal barrels cut maybe in half or taller. After seeing this I think it will have to be cut taller than half. Thats a lot of dirt I have to move also

About 1/3 to 1/2 way up, I used wood rounds sticks, cut grass and leaves I have a machine that shreds the **** out of leaves and small sticks so I make a few piles every year.

Thats awesome to know, I was afraid I'd have to haul in 1000 lbs of dirt with a five gallon bucket cause I dont have a wheel barrow lol. And I'm limited to a 20 lb lifting limit because of a bad hernia. I can easily get some limbs (already stacked for the burn pit) and grass clippings. I dont have any trees so leaves are out unless I bring some it.
Man, thanks for this tip, its a lot more doable now.
