The reason is Browning went to design for Reming prior to taking his designs to Browning in Belgium. The history of the transition is easliy researched but I have listed to short version. The rifle has been in my collection for serveral years and I'm thinning the herd so to speak. This rifle is easily 98-100% condition and has a 22" barrel it is fun fun to shoot and would make a great addition to any collection.
