what do you want nickle ,blued ? dont know what the status of fransons in tulsa is. don was working at the old shop, but is supposed to be moving to okc soon. call the old shop and they can tell you

You can't reblue aluminum. It will last 10 seconds in the tank. Your choices are re-anodizing, cera-kote, or sandblast for a two-tone look.
Personally I like two-tone guns, If the finish on it now is real bad thats what I would do then clear-coat it.
If it just has a few scratches I'd leave it alone.

I see S&W, I tie in thoughts of wheel guns... Didn't know smith autos had any value to them. Fun to shoot though.

Wouldn't refinishing ruin value also? Seems like a restoration smith, Like Honeybee would look good/hold values

There are some valuable S&W autos...From the .22 up to the .45 (Especially Performance Center guns)
