I added a single point sling adapter to my R25. Friends cautioned me to not lose the takedown pin detent and spring when removing the stock, and the instructions with the adapter stressed this as well. I was VERY careful when removing the stock but when I got it off, I saw no sign of this pin and spring. I checked the diagram and parts list from Remington and it indeed shows this, but I see no place it could be in the rear of the receiver. So, does anyone know if this rifle even has this part, or would it be under the rim of the buffer tube, which I did not have to remove???
