Went and got a 250 rd. value pack at Bass Pro, and went to the range today. It seems to have a snappier recoil than most commercial .40 FMJ rounds, but there are a lot of sparks. I mean A LOT. After the 3rd on I took the handgun back apart to make sure I didn't have lead stuck in the barrel or something. It shot just fine, in fact one of my better pistol groupings I've ever fired. I was just curious if anyone had run into something similar with other UMC ammo.

yea i had a couple umc 9mm rounds that didnt want to feed properly through my glock. Let alone they had to a tendency to string quite a bit and seemed pretty weak on the powder charge. My favorite stuff i have found so far is the cheapy federal 9mm at walmart. like $9.50 a box you cant beat it. I have fired a bunch of that stuff through the glock i had and now my M&P's with no issues and they group decent as well.

Yeah, these actually seem to be the reverse of what everyone is saying, these rounds seem to have more recoil than WWB, Blazer or Wolf, and I would say equate about to my Winchester JHP's for power(or so it feels). Dunno though, the sparks kinda weirded me out and I think I'm just gonna shelve the ammo til the zombies come.
