That's nice...but that's not what I said. Yes. Our current government (is/has been) engaged in wrongdoing. I don't dispute that. But the argument is the democrat and republican parties are the same. If that's the case, why vote to replace the current democrats in charge with republicans who are the same? It doesn't make sense. And it doesn't make sense because the parties are NOT the same. I'd be willing to bet that most here are welcoming the change newly elected republicans will bring with them. People didn't vote for Trump/Vance because they're the same as what we have now. They voted because they want change. I've also argued against an actual revolt time and again right in this forum. And obviously giving up isn't an option. So that's your answer. I voted for change because I know a government ran by the republican party will be better than one ran by democrats. Not perfect, not always doing what I want, but better. Improved to one degree or another. You're not going to get perfection regardless of how badly you want it. The other thing I'd like to point out is nearly all of Trump's picks are current republican politicians (Musk is an exception and Gabbard is a fairly recent convert) who were part of the "uniparty" everyone's b***hing about. But suddenly many of you guys are excited and enthusiastic about that they might be able to accomplish. It's easy to say the parties are the same, and it sounds cool and it sounds like you're really in tune with the world when you say it. But it just isn't true.
