This one isn't mine but I'll be building most of it for a friend. The project began in the early 90s but has just been parts and ideas for a couple of decades. It was originally a late 60s R50US which meant that it had the telescopic forks BMW was planning to use on all the bikes in the 1970 model year. We'll be running Earles forks on this however. Additionally this will be built as a "conversion" meaning it will have a post '70 engine in a pre '70 frame. It won't be a hot rod since it will be running a 600cc R60/6 engine from a '74 bike. The owner is a fellow OSU alum so hence the orange paint and logos. I've built another one of these (mine's a '63) so my buddy hopes I can remember where all the pieces go. I do too!
