so I finally broke my mark 3 down the other day to clean it after about three thousand rounds and I was kind of wondering just how old sharp and pronounced are the rifling in the barrel mine seems a little smooth I was just wondering if there's not much for rifling there or it's just full of lead what do you think

New the rifling is 3/thousandths of an inch which is about the thickness of 2 sheets of notebook paper. Not a whole lot to begin with, but the edges should be sharp. The following edge of the rifling will fill with lead and give it that smoothed out look. Use a boremop with hoppes no.9 and let it soak a good long time. Scrub with bronze or stainless brush. Nylon brushes are just a waste of your time.
