RIP 9MM

This ammo is interesting. Here is a video on it.

Like I say, it looks interesting but I think I'll stick to Speer GDHP.



Does anyone have any other suggestions for 9 mm? I am not at the point where I'm carrying my 986 yet, if I ever do, but I'd like to get your thoughts.

I like GDHP but prefer HST.

I use Magtech 124gr JHP.

A guy at a gunshop showed me one he had shot into ballistic gell (along with a few other brands), and it was pretty much a perfect star-shaped expansion as you can get without breaking up. He said it penetrated 12-14" IIRC.

It's been my carry round ever since.

Looks as though I'm going to be busy!! Actually like I said in the OP, the 986 is not quite ready for prime time, but weather permitting, I'll take it out tomorrow and put a few more rounds through it. I am an old revolver guy and I also like the 9mm, and moon clips are quite fast to load, plus they don't scatter the brass over hell and tarnation.
