One of two masked robbers who were firing a rifle as they entered a Tulsa convenience store was shot to death by a clerk late Thursday.

Tulsa Police Capt. Dave Roberts said the two robbers walked into Zeba Food Mart No. 2, at 506 E. 56th St. North, with a rifle around 10:45 p.m. and started shooting.

An employee returned fire with a handgun, shooting one of the masked intruders.

Not knowing whether the other robber was still in the store, the employees then ducked behind the counter until police arrived and found that the man was dead, Roberts said.

The other robber had fled, he said.

Roberts said the robbers appeared to be teenagers.

The names of those involved were not released late Thursday.

One less bad guy on the streets. Hope they give that clerk a raise, should be a big one considering the money saved by having one less person behind bars constantly throughout their lives.

Good for the clerk! That being a smaller convenience store the clerk will probably not be fired. Might even be related to the owner.

The other guy once he gets caught will probably be charged with murder. I hope so . One of his buddies will turn him in after he gets busted with some crack or a little weed trying to get out of his trouble.
