I just picked up my RIA 1911 Match from SSP. Let me tell you this is a super nice 1911 for $579, trigger is super smooth, the overall quality of the handgun is amazing. I definitely would recommend RIA.

So have you shot it or have you only been fondling it? (I guess there is nothing wrong with either option lol)

Haven't been out to the range with it yet, its an all day affair when we head down to the city since its 1.5 hours one way, plus the wife likes to stop at stores that Enid doesn't have (but should!). Going to the gun show up here today, so the range won't happen again today. Hopefully next week! Then I will post up my thoughts on it along with a range report.

Well since I haven't had the chance to make it out to the range yet I figured I would at least get some pics up for you guys to check out the RIA 1911 Match since the one on gallery of guns is so basic. I also tossed in a pic of the FNP-9 I picked up from SSP on saturday too.

your RIA looks dry, that parkerized coat is built to hold oil to beef up its resistance ability. Once it is oiled up it doesnt look ashy black.

Nina (yes i named her when I got her) performed extremely well Sunday evening at Sgt Everetts. I will post pics in a bit of my grouping.

Hey Beast, yea I wiped it down when I got it home and haven't done anything with it until I took the pictures. I plan on tearing it down tomorrow and oiling everything that needs to be oiled.

Nice RIA, I got a FN9 looking to get a 1911 soon.

Talk with the guys at Sooner State Pawn, the RIA Match like mine is $575 right now and in my opinion worth it.

I like the FNP9 reminds me of my old sig that I had when I lived in CA (except this one holds more rounds haha)

That is 16 rounds (two 8rnd magazines) at about 15 yards through my RIA and I believe this is only my 2nd outing with it . I definitely had rounds going through the same hole.

With only about 7 magazines through it total that thing is an animal.
