I have an old single shot, break action .410 shotgun my grandpa gave me a couple years before he passed. Honestly, it doesn’t hold a ton of sentimental value for me. It’s a reminder for me. He grew up dirt poor with a “father” that abandoned him and his mom. He worked his way through school and put himself through college and became fairly successful. That little shogun reminds me of the hard work he put into getting that and it reminds me of how my life is better because of the hardship he endured. It’s funny to think about. Monetarily, the guns I’ve been given that are priceless to me and are worth maybe $1,000 tops combined. All my other nice stuff I’ve footed the bill for and they don’t hold the same value .
