There is a long complex history with this war , and quite simple put the Ukrainians aren't anymore the good guys here than the Russians are the bad guys . Its also disingenuous to continue making the claim Putin wants to reconstitute the Soviet Union , that ship sailed when the USSR broke apart . It was no longer tenable to do, this war has happened because we didn't honor our agreements about trying to influence former Soviet republics and have been encroaching into Russia's back door . Its actually no different than what we did with Central and South America oh and Cuba and Grenada . I am not fan of Russians but I am also not a fan of Ukraine they've been a money laundering machine for corrupt politicians in this country and we don't need involved in Eastern Europe to be fair our best chance at a third world war isn't in the Middle East its Eastern Europe if we keep trying to encroach closer to the Russian Border and let's be clear . Everyone will end up losing in the long run because the Russians will very possibly feel compelled to use a nuke at some point .
