_CY_, another tip I've found helpful when trying to master the trigger, is after shooting a couple rounds, load the next cylinder some live, some empties, then when you're shooting you don't know which are live and which aren't. It will make it very evident if you are jerking the trigger. If the gun goes "click" and the muzzle jerks, you are still anticipating the recoil.


+100 on that. It can also show if your milking the grip if your shots are going to the left or right of POA. Rule one for any firearm is "Slow is smooth, smooth is fast".

OK... thanks again for the tips... will definitely try the insert the dummy round routine.

my basic pistol practice routine is 500+ shots per week, 10 meter air pistol with an 8.5 oz trigger. dime sized target at 10 yards or 50cent piece sized target at 15 yards is normal.

for me a 10lb double action trigger is a new skill that needs loads of work. so really appreciate all the help.
