For an AR pistol, do NOT attach a buttstock or a buffer tube that can accept a buttstock and do NOT attach a vertical forward grip.

To keep from going the pistol route, there are many people, me included that will take the upper to a friend or relative and let them hold on to it untill the paperwork comes through.

what kind of tube do i need to get? ive seen them and know they are usually padded, i just dont know what they are called.

It is y opinion based on my understanding of the law you can run a regular buffer tube if you do not posses a stock that readily fits it.

I was under the impression that if the tube was able to have a stock attached that it would be a no-no.
I could be wrong, but me personally I would rather be safe than sorry.
