I agree with turkeyrun. You take each run/trip at a time and evaluate from there.

Of course Lurker has a point with no law in a shtf event as well so any place is fair game. If I see a home that has formula or a set of clothes or hell even some new books I am going in to get them.


Might want to bring a lunch.

I am not articulating my point very well. I prep so I don't have to be a murderer or a thief.

I'm probably not expressing my point either. We prep just to be prepared for a crisis....that crisis could be anything. Like you, my goal is to be prepared. But flesh out any SHTF senario and we go from prepper to survivalist pretty quick.

Once you hit survivalist mode, the rules change, in fact, the rules go away. Sure you can cling to a moral code, no murder, no stealing, no lying, do unto others......but not everyone will play nice. I argue that in the absence of law, playing nice will get you a death sentence very fast.

That's about as pointed as I can be.
