Eradicated means to eliminate. 1300 cases in 2019. Probably marketing on CDC’s part. The efficacy of the vaccine is probably 99.9%, but they aren’t using the word eradicate correctly. Semantics, but that’s like saying condoms or birth control eradicated HIV or pregnancies.
