sighted in a scope today and when i turned it up to max mag and looked through it a saw a white haze. i know that balck shadow means your not set up right but what does a white haze mean?

Lens quality issues.
A lot of cheaper scopes will do that.
You will also get that when looking into bright light areas early in the morning and late evening. like a hazy cloud area covering trees. trying to see into the trees will sometimes fuzz out the scope picture.
That stuff happens..my cheaper 4-16 was usually good to 14.5 power all the time and only sometimes on 16 power
