Okay, I didn't want to leak this out, but really... the ATF uses a dart board for assignments.
According to the BATFE, the examiner assignment is based on the transferor. I was under the assumption it was based on the applicant's last name, but it's not. This is good news to us all, since M3's assigned examiner is S. Santamaria. I'm not sure who MAS' assigned examiner is, I need to call Martin & find out, hopefully Santamaria as well. Let's all hope she can keep things on track & continue to provide us with a speedy (by comparison) turn around.
Major, did you have to sweet talk somebody to get the good one?

Ok, newb here but interested in getting a suppressor. Could somebody give me the short on why it takes so long? Is it the background check, the quantity of forms, the lack of workers to process? I know nothing about the process and have actually only fired suppressed weapons a few times and really enjoyed it, thus the curiosity. Since y'all are so familliar with the process, I thought I would ask here before spending so much time searching the interweb. Thanks
Don
i would like to know what it would cost me for the suppressor and all stamps for a ruger 10/22
