Years ago my dad had a sharpening business and could sharpen just about anything. I recently picked up a Tormek and I'm going to work on a number of items of mine and my family. When I feel comfortable enough with the skill, I'm thinking of doing it as a side business as well. There seems to be a need for it and I'm a pretty detail oriented person. I'm in the process of getting my folks house ready to sell and get that behind me. When I do, I'll have much more time to spend on it. With all of the different types of blades out there for different applications, there is much to learn.
With the equipment my dad used, he didn't know it at the time, but he was doing way more than necessary. The beauty of the Tormek and systems like it is that it's pretty hard to screw up a blade. When I feel I'm up to what I should be, I'll post up some into..
