Finally got a Pedersoli 1859 sharps carbine. Been wanting to get one for a couple of years and when I went to buy one before they had run out of stock everywhere. Finally had funds available and Dixie gun works had a few available so I got one. Gotta thank spdguns for the musket caps. He came through when I was in need and gave me a great deal. Anyways now I'm in to bullet casting after I saw the price to buy .54 cal sharps bullets. So the other day my rcbs promelt 2 arrived and a 2 cavity Richmond sharps mold made by eras gone bullets. After casting about 80 decent bullets I was ready to make some paper cartridges for it. 20 of the things took me about 2 hours... Was a quick leaning curve after the first 5 I had it down pretty good. Loading about 80grns of goex ff under the 510grn Richmond sharps bullet. Finally took it all to the range and wow this thing is a real show stopper when it goes boom. Really put a smile on everyone's face who shot it. The ROs were very curious about it after the session too. They mentioned no one ever shot anything quite like that in there before. It sounds like a cannon going off. Anyways here a few pictures of it.
