I have my grand dad's Remington Sportsman 48. The gun has been sitting in the safe since the barrel extension broke where the bolt locks up. I finally tracked down a replacement bbl-a 28" vent rib choked mod. The gun came to me with a 24" plain bbl with a poly choke. The thing really balanced well and pointed quickly with the 24" bbl. I am curious about cutting the new vent rib down to the same length then adding tubes.

I know that Briley has a great rep....but good grief are they proud of their work. Is there anyone else to look at for this kind of work? Anyone local?

The gun isn't worth alot dollar wise.....but very valuble for sentimental reasons. I want to get it running for dove and upland work.
