I was watching a John Stossel program on the University of Michigan tonight about students under attack. Probably 400 students in attendance.

He was covering a myriad of subjects, but when getting to the subject of students having CC on campus the audience erupted in applause.

I thought the best response was from a female student that said even though they are students, they still have rights. If its a private college, I get it, but this is a public facility.

Another group called the "students for liberty" was a refreshing example of how these college kids that we think are concerned with nothing but sex, drugs, and rock and roll, are actually concerned for the future of our country.

I'm impressed. The MSM will never report anything like this.

I worked for OU @ their OKC med campus.. I was happy to know my boss was a CCW and hunter... I parked in the parking garage with my strap. I bet Boren was not a fan of this..then again he didn't provide me with an armed escort to and from work either so....

Personally, I feel that any adult US citizen should have full rights as an adult US citizen including CC. The problem I think we run into with universities is the question of "who owns/operates" the university. Is it private or State owned. Of course there are State laws involved, but there are also local policies dictating over the issue as well.

It's similar to where many of us work our jobs. Many companies won't allow employees to carry weapons inside of their private property. I don't like that rule, but I don't want to get fired either. So, I make myself live with it.

To answer the original question...Yes...I think adult students should be allowed to carry. If a law is broken due to the weapon...get the police involved.
