This is the guitar I bribed my Brother with back in 1981,,, He was an up and coming guitar player but knew nothing about music itself. I told him if he went to OKC Community college and enrolled for a term,,, Took 12 units (2 music-2 gen ed) and got a B average,,, I would buy him any guitar he wanted. Three months later he showed me a straight A transcript,,, So off we headed to Guitar World. I knew he wanted a Strat and was ready to spend the 7-900 bucks for one,,, What I didn't know was that in the back they had a new 79 Strat from the custom shop. So here it is 42 years later,,, He got his AA from OKC Community,,, BA as a music teacher from East Central University,,, And Straight A'd a Masters in Guitar Performance from Oklahoma City College. He's been teachin guitar in Norman for 35 years now,,, As well as playing in countless bands,,, And producing for his students. That custom shop Strat cost me $1,800 cash money,,, Not really so bad a deal as it came with an 8-10" stack with 100 watt head Marshall Amp. But, since it got my brother out of the garage band set and into a profession he loves and has prospered in,,, I consider it the best money I have even spent in my life. Gregg had always loved that t-shirt/belt buckle where a girl in a Hawaiian bikini rode a Fender Strat,,, So I dusted off my old photo studio gear, stole his guitar for a week,,, And convinced a lovely young lady to pose for me. This is the original belt buckle that I designed my image from. Just thought you might like to hear the story and see a lovely young lady on a great guitar.
