I like to visit gun ranges. When I travel, I look for small ranges or ranges I've never been before. Thought I'd start a thread mentioning the small ones you may have missed.
Start with Ada Oklahoma. There are two ranges. On is the Ada Rifle and Gun Club (private but very reasonable priced). Out door range with covered shooting in both the rifle (200 yrds) and the pistol range. Need to bring your own targets and target stands. Located at 14180 County Road 3502,74820,Ada,US. Great people.

Second is Gun Runners indoor gun range Location of the range is approximately 3.5 miles past Laser Zone on highway 3W, on the SW side of the road, Immediately past "GEORGE SMITH AUTO SALVAGE".
Super nice people and reasonable fees (very reasonable). Small but the friendliest people you will find. 25 yard range but only opened on Saturday and Sundays 11 to 7. http://gunrunnersinc.com

Third is Red Dirt indoor range located at 2926 Texoma Pkwy, Sherman, TX 75090. Got to pay attention to see the small sign but use your GPS. Great indoor range with super people running it. 25 yards and 12 lanes. You will enjoy these folks.
The above are small ranges that I recommend because of the people and the fact you may not have heard of them. I encourage everyone to find these small places and post your reviews of them (location is good too...got to be able to find them).

I will update this, from time to time, if there is interest by our members.

Thanks. I hope a bunch of members put up the smaller gun ranges, locations and reviews. It would be nice to know about these little jewels.
No plans to be over in the Duke area anytime soon, but I will plan a day and hit it and another because I think it fun.
Thanks again BC

Thanks for posting this. I'm adding them to my list of matches I can hit starting in October. After TCGC last month and my MASSIVE round of gun malfunctions that happened on the last stage we shot (there were ONLY 3 stages) after the gun functioned flawlessly on the first 2 stages, I'm sticking with small matches close to home right now.

After shooting nearly every day this month, and keeping notes, it's obvious it's not the gun but muscle fatigue that is the problem. I've driving my PT guy NUTS but he finally gave me some exercises to work all those tiny muscles in my neck, upper back and shoulders that are failing quickly.

Hell, I couldn't even hold the Colt 1911 with the .22 conversion kit in it up to sight level last week. I'll try again tomorrow and see if I've gotten strong enough to shoot it yet.

Still, I'm having a BLAST! It is SO nice to be shooting again.
